An awfully quiet meeting…
We had a slightly subdued discussion about Delhi – although quite a few of us didn’t manage to finish it. The overwhelming impression wasn’t particularly thumbs up or thumbs down.
Perhaps we just needed to read it in the voice of Alan Clarke, on a train chugging across the Deccan plateau.

Book for next time is an An Awfully Big Adventure by Beryl Bainbridge.
Runners up were: A Galaxy Unknown, Self, Engelby, The Master and Margarita (May 15th being the 120th Birthday of Mikhail Bulgakov) and the Good Man Jesus and the Scoundrel Christ.
+ we have an offer of some free copies of Gorilla Guerilla by Nick Taussig which I’ll bring to the next meeting.
Next meeting is the 16th of June so you have 4 weeks to get reading!
