Brixton Book Group Award Winning Golden Medal Book Group Prize Award for the Best Book We’ve Read 2022
I was trying to set up an online poll for this before Christmas but it was beyond me so we voted in person at Khans instead. Sometimes you just have to be in the room where it happens.
Our winner for 2022 was WILD SWANS by Jung Chang. An epic multigenerational saga taking us through the Chinese Cultural Revolution.

The full list we read in 2022 (based on meeting/discussion date) was:
Wild Swans – Jung Chang
Pride and Prejudice – Jane Austen
Maus – Art Spiegelman
The Buddha of Suburbia – Hanif Kureishi
Headlong – Michael Frayn
