Christmas Drinks
It’s time for our annual Christmas gathering.
We are planning to meet for a few drinks at the Effra Social. We might even watch some jazz and mingle instead of just stealing all their chairs.
There will be a festive bookswap – its optional, but if you want to join in please bring a wrapped book and Santa (Pete1) will collect them in his sack. Everyone who puts in a book gets one back out! (It can be any book, new or second hand, but please nothing we’ve read recently as lots of people will already have it!)
Come along, have some drinks, no pressure to read a book! We’ll be there from 7.30ish. Book Secret Santa at about 8.30.
There will also be a poll on our best book of 2023 coming soon.
The next book discussion will be in January (details and event to follow).
