Ducks, Newburyport
We had a lively discussion about the usefulness of forgetting everything, the wisdom of royalty and why perhaps despite the fact that a lot of Kazuo Ishiguro’s books are similar, that’s why we enjoy them so much.

Book for next time is Ducks, Newburyport by Lucy Ellman which you can buy direct from the publisher (which includes a free ebook version, and a donation to a charity setup to repair some of the damage caused by Trump). Crystal Palace bookshop Bookseller Crow are running a big fat book group on the 15th of Jan so you have another chance to talk about the book – and Alison has promised to make poffertjes. You can buy the book from them here.
This is quite a long book, so you that you can enjoy reading it over Christmas our next regular meeting will be on the 30th of January at 7.30ish in the Effra Social. New members welcome!
