For Two Thousand Years
Last night’s meeting was as packed as the lightbulbs in Omusa. We chatted about creeping gentrification, parks as pretty as tennis courts and how much 1 million won in loose change is worth.

I even got quizzed on my caligraphy
Book for next time is For Two Thousand Years by Mihail Sebastian.
Runners up included Under Milk Wood by Dylan Thomas, All Quiet on the Western Front by Erich Maria Remarque, The Secret History of Wonder Woman by Jill Lepore, As I lay Dying by William Faulkner, Trainspotting by Irevine Welsh, The Argonaughts by Maggie Nelson and Just Kids by Patti Smith.
The voting was quite close this time, so if your book didn’t get picked you can always pitch, pitch and pitch again.
Next meeting is Thursday 23rd of Feb in the Effra Social from 7.30pm.
