Though it took a while to get into, everyone enjoyed Things Fall Apart by Chinua Achebe and found plenty of gory details to talk about.
Calendar confusion, illness and the looming weekend meant we were a bit thin on the ground, but we still came up with a picture page and book for next time – the The End of Mr Y by Scarlett Thomas.
Other books people suggested were City of Thieves by David Benioff, The Tin Drum by Gunter Grass, and Death and the Penguin by Andrey Kurkov”
Next meeting will be in Mango Landin on Wednesday the 11th of November
