It’s getting hot in here..

After discussing I know what you did last summer The Secret History which everyone universally enjoyed and thought wasn’t at all slow paced dullness where nothing happened and all the characters were multi-dimensional, believable automatons we chose the next book:

This week’s book is Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury

runners up were:

Money – Martin Amis
Shabby Tiger – Howard Spring
If on a winter’s night a traveller – Italo Calvino
A million little pieces – James Frey
The Phantom toll booth
A fraction of the whole
I am a cat – Soesemi Matsuke
Bonjour tristrese

Next meeting: Wednesday 24th September at 7.30 in Mango Landin

“Books like HG Wells’ War Of The Worlds and Ray Bradbury’s Farenheit 451 are placed on the beds. Their themes of humanity under threat echo the dark, claustrophobic nature of the exhibit.”
