Question time with Tracy Chevalier
Just a quick note to pass on this interesting event that popped up in the Brixton Book Group postbag:
Claret Press publishing house in Clapham are hosting a literary fundraiser for MNDA on December 1.
International bestselling author Tracy Chevalier, who wrote Girl with a Pearl Earring and Strange Creatures, is chairing a Question-Time-style panel discussion on writing, creativity and disability. The event is also the book launch for Insights: Fifteen Stories Exploring Disability, which consists of the shortlist of our short-story competition. Some of our contributors will be on the panel with Tracy, which will give the audience many valuable perspectives on writing, literature, and this hugely important aspect of life that is so often neglected in storytelling.
Net proceeds from the book and the event go to support The Motor Neurone Disease Association. There will be wine, nibbles, and the opportunity to mingle with like-minded people.
Tickets cost £15 and can be purchased EventBrite
