Reader, I married him (hope you do better than the first Mrs Rochester)
We had a slightly less packed meeting to discuss the other worldly Third Policeman, the ending of Lost and why it’s always important to pay attention to what’s inside the box.
Book for next time is A Wide Sargasso Sea by Jean Rhys which we’ll be talking about at the Effra Social on the 10th of March at 7.43pm. As you’ve got lots of time to read this one, it’s worth reading Jane Eyre as well, or at least watching the film.
Runners up included: Dracula, The Book of Lost things, Leaving the Altocha Station, The Saga of Gosta Berling, The Great Railway Bazaar, The Fountains of Paradise and Jane Eyre.
