World Book Night: Big Brixton book giveaway

Passing this on from Caroline at Brixton Library:

To celebrate World Book Night Charles Dickens will be personally present at Brixton’s Big Book Give-Away to ensure that all free copies of his novel Oliver Twist go to the most deserving; those yet to have the pleasure of accompanying Nancy, Fagin and the Artful Dodger through the slum lands of Victorian Britain.

If you prefer your literary gruel more contemporary you’ll be pleased to know with us there’s always more. Readers will be giving away copies of some of the most popular fiction of recent years. Please join us with a copy of a book you would like to give to someone and take to the stage to proclaim its virtues. Give, receive, read and enjoy.

Monday 23 April
Brixton Library, 8pm
