Genius fundraising ideas wanted…

Ok last year we talked at a few meetings about doing a bit of fundraising for the RNIB – specifically for their talking book / braille book service, so I’ve got in touch and asked how we could help. £500 pays to record a children’s book (like Harry Potter and The Philosopher’s Stone) in unabridged form, £1,000 pays to record an adult book like Pride and Prejudice) in unabridged form and £1,500 pays for them to transcribe a book into braille.

We get to choose from a list of books they’re planning to record or can suggest a book to be considered by the book selection panel.

I’ve added a link to the blog and will post it up on facebook as well – quite a lot of people email me to ask if there’s a joining fee etc. so I’m going to suggest to make a donation.
The justgiving page is at http://www.justgiving.com/BrixtonBookGroup

I might bake some cakes too. If anyone has any genius ideas please get in touch or leave a comment – we had a few ideas a while ago so hopefully our collective geniuses will come up with something!.
