The Bonfire of the Vanities
**NOT FINAL DATE**
*This date is a placeholder for now – we’ll decide on a definite date nearer the time*
On a basis of some irregularity we choose a LONG READ. We then take forever to get round to discussing it. So about 2 months ago we chose The Bonfire of the Vanities by Tom Wolfe as our summer read. An 80s classic (with a matching film if you want a short cut).
We will probably discuss it sometime in September, but if you’re planning to read it and want to come along please respond to this event and we’ll try to find a date that works for everyone. (We might also try and find somewhere vaguely appropriate for the discussion so let us know if you have any ideas?)

Runners up were:
The Talented Mr Ripley (series) – Patricia Highsmith
The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Clay – Michael Chabon
Ulysses – James Joyce
Neapolitan Quartet – Elena Ferrante
The Canterbury Tales – Chaucer
Enjoy!
I’m in for the long read session in Sept.
I am in!
