The Thrilling Adventures of Lovelace and Babbage
I consulted the IChing to determine the success or failure of our meeting to discuss the dystopian alternative reality novel the Man in the High Castle, and it probably made as much sense as when Philip K Dick asked how he could complete his novel.

We had a really good selection of books suggested this week – remember you can always suggest again (and again) – the winner was the historical graphic novel adventure The Thrilling Adventures of Lovelace and Babbage by Sydney Paduo available on Hive and from your local independent book shop!
Runners up included:
Empire of the Sun by JG Ballard
Lord of the Flies by William Golding
Stories of your life and others – Ted Chiang
How not to be a boy by Robert Webb
Black Leopard Red Wolf by Marlon James
An Artist of the Floating World by Kazuo Ishiguro
Haweswater by Sarah Hall
